Bishop Joseph Cistone, assistant pastor at St. Jude from 1982 to 1987, recently passed away. He was named Bishop of Saginaw, MI in 2009, but remained highly respected in our archdiocese and fondly remembered in our parish. CatholicPhilly.com wrote a nice article about him. Click to read.
Phase II of renovations ends with the installation of our new tabernacle! Our stunning, bronze tabernacle is inlaid in silver and gold and covered with ancient Christian symbols. Monsignor has written a letter about the Rededication Mass and explaining what we can expect in Phase III.
