The Church dedicates July to the Blood of Christ. The Opening Prayer of the Votive Mass of the Precious Blood on July 1 states:
“O God, who by the Precious Blood of your Only Begotten Son have redeemed the whole world, preserve in us the work of your mercy, so that, ever honoring the mystery of our salvation, we may merit to obtain its fruits. Through our Lord Jesus Christ, your son, who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the holy spirit, one God, forever and ever. Amen.”
According to tradition, the Lord told St. Gertrude that devoutly praying this prayer will release 1000 souls from purgatory. Such is the power of the Blood of Christ. This prayer can easily be added to your daily prayers, prayer at meals, or at the end of your daily rosary.
Eternal Father, I offer Thee the Most Precious Blood of Thy Divine Son, Jesus, in union with the masses said throughout the world today, for all the holy souls in purgatory, for sinners everywhere, for sinners in the universal church, those in my own home and within my family. Amen.
Scripture
“Then He took a cup, and when He had given thanks He handed it to them saying, ‘Drink from this, all of you, for this is My Blood, the Blood of the covenant, poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins.” (Matthew 26: 27-28)
“But one of the soldiers with a spear opened His side, and immediately there came out Blood and water.” (John 19:34)
“You were not redeemed with corruptible things, as gold or silver… but with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb unspotted and undefiled.” (1 Peter 1:18-19)
Saints
“Precious Blood, ocean of divine mercy: Flow upon us! Precious Blood, most pure offering: Procure us every grace! Precious Blood, hope and refuge of sinners: Atone for us! Precious Blood, Delight of holy souls: Draw us!” St. Catherine of Siena
“O Jesus, when I consider the great price of Thy Blood, I rejoice at its immensity, for one drop alone would have been enough for the salvation of all sinners.” St. Faustina

The devotions to the Precious Blood, the Sacred Heart of Jesus, the Divine Mercy, and Adoration are all united in the Eucharist:
“Veneration of the Precious Blood of Our Lord Jesus Christ is a devotion as old as our Holy Faith… The Precious Blood is being daily consecrated and offered by priests in the Mass, and is at all times venerated by the faithful in the Most Blessed Sacrament of the Altar. In Holy Communion, all receive the Flesh and Blood of Jesus Christ as a pledge of life eternal. True Catholics must venerate the Precious Blood of Jesus Christ unto the End of the World.” (Devotion to the Precious Blood, Tan Books, pp. 1-2)
In the 1600s, Jesus revealed to St. Margaret Mary Alacoque the devotion to His Sacred Heart in order to increase our love:
“Behold the Heart which has so loved men that It has spared nothing, even to exhausting and consuming Itself, in order to testify Its love; and in return, I receive from the greater part only ingratitude, by their irreverence and sacrilege, and by the coldness and contempt they have for Me in this Sacrament of Love (the Eucharist).”
During the apparitions of Fatima and after, the Lord established devotion to His mother's Immaculate Heart. Jesus said to Lucia:
"Have compassion on the Heart of your most holy Mother, covered with thorns, with which ungrateful men pierce it at every moment, and there is no one to make an act of reparation to remove them.”

First Friday First Saturday Devotions
Pope St. Pius XII instituted the Feast of St. Joseph the Worker in 1955 to foster devotion to St. Joseph, to honor the dignity of human work, and to counter the “May Day” celebrations for workers in Communist countries.
As Pope St. John Paul II stated, “the Church considers it her task always to call attention to the dignity and rights of those who work, to condemn situations in which that dignity and those rights are violated, and to help to guide [social] changes so as to ensure authentic progress by man and society.”
May is also considered “the month of Mary” so it is fitting that the month begin by honoring Mary's holy spouse along with her.
Our Lady appeared to three children, so her message was simple: pray the rosary daily for peace, offer sacrifices, and hell is real! The First Saturday devotions will save souls. Watch the video to learn how we can do our part to save the world and save souls by doing what our Mother asks.
For simple ways to put Mary's message into action, see the article below.
7 Ways to Live Fatima's Message
The Feast of the Most Holy Trinity, or Trinity Sunday, is the Sunday following Pentecost Sunday. Though our finite human minds can never fully understand the infinite reality of God's essence, both these under-three-minute videos give good explanations.
Bishop Barron gives us a beautiful explanation of this foundational tennet of all Christian Faith, based on the premise that God is Love.
The other video, though not specifically Catholic, is consistent with Catholic theology and gives some great Scripture verses to prove the Trinity in the Bible.
