“I pray not only for them, but also for those who will believe in me through their word, so that they may all be one, as you, Father, are in me and I in you, that they also may be one in us, that the world may believe that you sent me.” (John 17: 20-21)
The objective of the group is the goal of Vatican II towards Christian unity. The purpose of ecumenical activity is to understand the perspective of different religions, NOT that “they are all alike,” or that we all should suddenly be the same. Ecumenical activity provides the Lord an opportunity to fulfill His plan for unity while sharing what we have in common, such as works of mercy and prayer.
We celebrate joint services with the Chalfont-New Britain Ministerium of churches on Good Friday and Thanksgiving eve. We also all regularly support the community Food Larder located in the New Britain Baptist Church, which provides food for both individuals and families in need of assistance in Central Bucks County.
