"Adoration will heal our Church and thus our nation and thus our world... Adoration touches everyone and everything... [because it touches the Creator, Who touches everything and everyone]... When we adore, we plug into infinite dynamism and power. Adoration is more powerful for construction than nuclear bombs are for destruction." (Peter Kreeft, philosopher at Boston College)
About 30 years ago, several women started praying about having Adoration in our chapel. We asked Msgr. McCoy, and he encouraged us, establishing Adoration in conjunction with the Novena to St. Jude.
Every Thursday, beginning after the 9am Mass and ending with Benediction at 7pm, one or two people are scheduled to keep our Lord company while He is exposed in the Monstrance on our altar.
The blessings we receive for ourselves and our prayer intentions are numerous, but we are also giving love, adoration, and comfort to our Lord and are making it possible for many people to stop in during the day to pray.
If you would like to join us as a regular adorer or as a substitute in this beautiful ministry of prayer, we welcome you to contact us or leave your name and a note in the sign-up book in the chapel.
